Description

Design and implement software systems and APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Data Science, to deliver customer experiences and new opportunities.
Lead key initiatives that improve efficiency, system performance, and customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain highly available, high-performing distributed systems.
Develop and operate public-facing APIs, including versioning, deprecation, and rate limiting concerns.
Contribute to real-time pricing systems across lodging, car rentals, and flights on the Pricing team.
Work on authentication and authorization systems for customers on the Identity Management team.
Operate Auth0 tenant configurations and shape the login experience for users.
Partner with enterprise customers to deliver secure and reliable identity integrations.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available distributed systems.
Experience building public-facing, consumer-grade APIs.
Experience managing API versioning, deprecation, and consumption-based rate limiting.
Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar modern backend languages is a plus.
Experience with AWS is a plus.
Strong grasp of software design principles, scalability, and system architecture.
Prioritize Domain-Driven Design.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is not specified.
Experience with machine learning-informed pricing models is preferred for work on the Pricing team.

Benefits

Competitive base salary of $121,400 to $168,000 USD.
Equity and/or variable pay (OTE) may be included in total compensation.
