Description

  • Design and implement software systems and APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Data Science, to deliver customer experiences and new opportunities.
  • Lead key initiatives that improve efficiency, system performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain highly available, high-performing distributed systems.
  • Develop and operate public-facing APIs, including versioning, deprecation, and rate limiting concerns.
  • Contribute to real-time pricing systems across lodging, car rentals, and flights on the Pricing team.
  • Work on authentication and authorization systems for customers on the Identity Management team.
  • Operate Auth0 tenant configurations and shape the login experience for users.
  • Partner with enterprise customers to deliver secure and reliable identity integrations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available distributed systems.
  • Experience building public-facing, consumer-grade APIs.
  • Experience managing API versioning, deprecation, and consumption-based rate limiting.
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar modern backend languages is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of software design principles, scalability, and system architecture.
  • Prioritize Domain-Driven Design.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is not specified.
  • Experience with machine learning-informed pricing models is preferred for work on the Pricing team.

  • Competitive base salary of $121,400 to $168,000 USD.
  • Equity and/or variable pay (OTE) may be included in total compensation.
