Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery process, including data extraction, transformation, automated distribution, and operational support.
  • Improve existing processes and solutions to increase efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to meet sprint goals.
  • Drive continuous improvements across the platform and delivery workflows.
  • Proactively contribute to AI initiatives and adoption efforts within the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration activities.
  • Ensure high standards for security, performance, and reliability.
  • Support the reliability of a platform that manages hundreds of recurring data pipelines and multiple delivery destinations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID, and KISS principles.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong experience with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
  • Proficiency with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Proficiency in unit, API, and integration testing and the ability to independently ensure product quality.
  • Active use of AI tools to enhance productivity, including GitHub Copilot, Claude, and MCP servers.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with Java 21+ and the listed tech stack, including OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
  • Interview process includes a recruiter pre-screen, technical screen, technical interview, and manager interview.
