Description

  • Architect, develop, and scale core services and infrastructure for Archer’s AI products.
  • Design and maintain scalable infrastructure for managing a fleet of IoT sensors and related systems.
  • Build and support progressive OTA deployment infrastructure, including Rust-based code and deployment tooling.
  • Develop infrastructure and processes to achieve extremely high availability and reliability targets.
  • Design and maintain observability infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with AI experts to deploy their systems into production.
  • Identify reusable solutions that can help other teams across Archer.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps tools such as Argo CD.
  • Experience with layer 7 mesh networks such as Linkerd or Istio, load balancers, and East/West and North/South failover patterns.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, specifically OpenTofu and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of secrets management.
  • Experience with distributed tracing and observability stacks.
  • Experience designing cost-optimized, portable, cloud-agnostic architectures.
  • Preferred experience with Rust and Python, including NumPy and PyTorch.
  • Preferred experience with data engineering tools such as Postgres, Parquet, Iceberg, and Spark.
  • Preferred experience across cloud software development and mobile IoT, with minimal to no front-end experience needed.
  • Preferred experience in network engineering, including Anycast, WireGuard, and BGP.
  • Preferred experience with security concepts such as defense in depth, zero trust design, and software supply chain attacks.
  • Preferred experience with message brokers such as Kafka or NATS.

  • Base pay range of $144,000 to $180,000 annually.
