Description

  • Design, develop, and test highly reliable electronics for communicating with Starlink satellites and user terminals.
  • Drive system trades, capture requirements, select components, and perform analysis for complex electrical systems.
  • Create schematics, perform PCB layout, prototype hardware, and lead hardware bring-up and debugging activities.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing-ready documentation and tests, and support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
  • Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, production test, silicon, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated hardware.
  • Drive continual product improvements by building physical and digital tools to analyze data collected on orbit and in the lab.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and verification of electronic designs in lab and field environments.
  • Challenge assumptions and simplify complex problems to improve design robustness and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience rapidly designing and delivering highly reliable products and full life cycle hardware development from concept through production (preferred).
  • 10+ years designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards using processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, multi-GHz SerDes, DRAM interfaces (DDR4), I2C, SPI, op-amps, ADCs/DACs, and power supply components (preferred).
  • 10+ years of professional experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of computers and programming languages such as Python and C/C++ (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in highly cross-functional roles and with adjacent engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • ITAR-related eligibility: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card), refugee, asylee, or ability to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
