Description

  • Oversee the upkeep and repair of on-farm hardware infrastructure to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Diagnose hardware issues and relay findings to the relevant internal teams.
  • Maintain and upgrade infrastructure, and deploy equipment such as towers and collars on farms as needed.
  • Provide on-site support during farm deployments, including troubleshooting and installation assistance.
  • Participate in the global on-call roster to respond to tower-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, customer success, and other teams to support customer outcomes.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze hardware data to improve operational efficiency and inform decisions.
  • Develop and manage a maintenance system for the New Zealand market.
  • Travel regularly within New Zealand, including the South Island, to support field operations.

Requirements

  • Practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting.
  • A proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Strong practical resourcefulness and the ability to handle a wide range of tasks without specific technical training.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different locations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including 3 to 4 days on the road per week and up to 3 nights away from home per week.
  • Agriculture experience is preferred but not required.
