Description

  • Lead consistent execution of first-line risk management programs, including RCSA, issue management, and control testing.
  • Advise senior leaders and department heads on risk awareness, control effectiveness, and compliance program implementation.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, and regulators on operational, compliance, strategic, and reputational risk initiatives.
  • Monitor first-line control activities to identify risk exposures and strengthen the overall control environment.
  • Assess risks and controls for large and complex initiatives, and develop remediation strategies for identified gaps.
  • Translate second-line risk and compliance policies into first-line execution across business activities.
  • Use risk reporting and trend analysis to evaluate control environment status and escalate critical issues and findings.
  • Translate control deficiencies into action plans and recommend governance improvements aligned with risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Leverage risk assessment data to identify opportunities to improve and strengthen controls and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience supporting risk and/or compliance-related activities in a financial services operating environment or other relevant industry.
  • Subject matter expertise in operational risk and controls, with working knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Experience executing RCSA frameworks, supplier risk management, and issues management.
  • Experience interacting with regulators such as the Federal Reserve, OCC, or CFPB.
  • Experience with risk data, reporting, and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written executive communication skills.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to partner effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize across multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
  • Strategic thinker who can partner with process owners to drive process improvements.
