Description

  • Build and ship end-to-end features spanning backend APIs, database changes, frontend UI, and production deployment.
  • Design and implement backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
  • Design schemas, optimize queries, and model data in MySQL and related databases.
  • Develop fast, maintainable frontend features for Soda Cloud.
  • Optimize performance across the application stack and write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Build LLM-powered workflows that help users find, understand, and fix data-quality issues.
  • Improve agentic development practices, including agent instructions, skills, and test feedback loops.
  • Collaborate directly with product, design, and customers to shape priorities and solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience at a product company.
  • Strong Java experience with REST APIs, database interactions, and asynchronous processing.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks; Angular experience preferred.
  • Experience building complex UIs with component architecture, state management, responsive design, and performance optimization.
  • Strong SQL and backend database experience, including schema design, query optimization, and production migrations; MySQL and ClickHouse experience relevant.
  • Consistent testing experience, including end-to-end testing with Cypress or Playwright.
  • Strong architectural judgment, including consumer-focused API design and understanding of data flow and latency.
  • DevOps fluency with containers, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and Linux.
  • Experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor while maintaining production-quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed, asynchronous team; fluent English.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, high-growth startups, Python, agentic product workflows, or data quality and observability is preferred.
