Description

Support and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze monthly variances.
Research, document, and implement technical accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP.
Prepare technical accounting memos and maintain accounting policies.
Prepare financial statements, disclosures, workpapers, and reporting packages.
Serve as a primary accounting contact for external auditors and coordinate audit requests.
Support internal controls, walkthroughs, testing, and documentation.
Partner cross-functionally on customer contracts, equity issuances, financing activities, and other initiatives.
Identify and implement process improvements and accounting automation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA required or actively pursuing CPA.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or high-growth technology companies.
Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP.
Experience supporting financial statement audits.
Experience preparing technical accounting memos and accounting policy documentation.
Strong financial reporting and month-end close experience in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: Big Four or national public accounting experience, CPA license, SaaS/AI/technology company experience, ASC 606/842/718 experience, ERP or accounting systems implementation experience, and familiarity with Salesforce, QuickBooks, or NetSuite.

Benefits

Salary range of $110,000 to $185,000 USD.
Remote work option, with Bay Area strongly preferred.
Hybrid work options in Redwood City, CA and San Francisco, CA.
