Description

  • Build and maintain a container-based infrastructure that is redundant, scalable, compliant, and reliable.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment as part of an Agile team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain secure, reproducible CI/CD pipelines with the development team.
  • Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis when needed.
  • Ensure applications and services are designed for scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain high system and infrastructure availability through proactive operations.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Write custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Evaluate application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement fixes with developers.
  • Support security controls and best practices, including HIPAA-compliant systems.
  • Participate in on-call PagerDuty rotations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS.
  • Experience working with product and operations teams to support applications using practical DevOps approaches.
  • Security-first mindset with experience building secure development and test environments integrated with CI/CD pipelines and release cycles.
  • Experience building and maintaining container-based infrastructure and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code; Terraform experience is a plus.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, reliability, load balancing, monitoring, and logging.
  • Experience fully automating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with data privacy requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA preferred.
  • Experience managing SQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis, Redshift, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
  • Strong scripting skills in shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, Go, Groovy, Helm, or similar tools.
