Description

Build and maintain a container-based cloud infrastructure that is redundant, scalable, compliant, and secure.
Support end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in AWS.
Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in a reproducible and secure manner.
Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis when needed.
Ensure applications and services are designed with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
Maintain high system and infrastructure availability through proactive operational practices.
Develop custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Help maintain security program controls and best practices.
Participate in on-call PagerDuty rotations.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering.
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
Extensive experience in containerized cloud-native environments, specifically AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
Experience with modern monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, EventBridge, and Datadog, including metrics, monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
Experience managing change management practices, policies, and procedures.
Experience deploying and monitoring applications in AWS at scale.
Security-first mindset with experience building secure development and test environments integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with infrastructure as code; Terraform experience is a plus.
Experience with DevOps, SRE concepts, and best practices.
Experience with infrastructure automation, systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, and logging.
Experience with FinOps practices and related governance programs.
Experience fully automating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions.
Experience working in regulated environments with data privacy regulations such as GDPR; HIPAA experience is preferred.
Experience managing SQL and NoSQL databases such as RDS, Redis, Redshift, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell.
