Description

  • Define and own the product strategy for core CDR platform components, including data ingestion, data quality, persistence, and administration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify gaps between product capabilities and market or client needs, especially in interoperability, performance, scalability, and standards compliance.
  • Translate architectural patterns and operational needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Participate in architecture and code review discussions to validate feasibility, scalability, and maintainability of proposed solutions.
  • Maintain deep technical understanding of the platform stack, including Java, HAPI FHIR, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Kafka, to support trade-off decisions and prioritization.
  • Champion product capabilities related to data quality, deduplication, enrichment, and lifecycle management across ingest and persistence flows.
  • Support backlog refinement and delivery oversight by providing technical context, architectural input, and prioritization guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-fidelity execution of the product roadmap and support product communication materials, training, and demos.
  • Conduct competitive research, benchmark capabilities, and help identify differentiators for platform features.
  • Host customer conversations, guide solutioning discussions, and evangelize product capabilities to internal teams and external customers.
  • Serve as a technical resource to unblock delivery teams while balancing client requirements with architectural and operational considerations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Software Engineering, Platform Product Ownership, or a related technical software product role.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field with a strong technical component.
  • Proven experience delivering complex software products or platforms, ideally in healthcare or enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of FHIR, HAPI FHIR, RESTful API standards, data integration, ETL, data persistence patterns, authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML), and healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2, CDA, LOINC, SNOMED, and ICD-10.
  • Experience with CI/CD, software release cycles, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to review architecture and design proposals, translate use cases into technical requirements, and guide implementation discussions.
  • Ability to read, write, and reason through code enough to understand architecture proposals, review pull requests, or validate technical decisions.
  • Consultative experience facilitating meetings and communications with executive-level clients, prospects, and partners.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and architecture teams in cloud-native environments such as Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Critical thinking skills with a creative, solution-oriented mindset and strong time management plus written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems or data platforms, preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability, logging, and system administration tools, preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare data platforms or interoperability systems is an asset.
