Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the venture.
  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture, including SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Build and launch a marketing review prototype with an early design partner, then deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready logs and reporting.
  • Lead the AI/LLM model training and ongoing improvement to produce robust analysis.
  • Own the explainability layer and reliability engineering so the platform produces audit-ready evidence on demand and performs consistently in production.
  • Represent the company to customers, investors, and other external stakeholders as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Partner with the CEO on converting pilots into paying customers, fundraising, product decisions, technology strategy, hiring, and company strategy.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team, helping establish the company’s culture.
  • Drive the roadmap toward GA v1 within 9 months and expansion into regulatory filings and enterprise integrations within 18 months.

Requirements

  • Proven experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production environments where incorrect outputs carried real consequences.
  • Strong full-stack familiarity with applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Direct experience with security and compliance controls such as SOC 2, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Well-developed convictions about explainability and reliability engineering based on direct production experience.
  • Ability to operate as a principal-level leader, making decisive calls under uncertainty and owning outcomes end to end.
  • Preferred: prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Preferred: background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical.
  • Preferred: familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring.
  • Preferred: direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models.
