Description

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and existing customers by assessing technical gaps and developing solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic clients and align customer roadmaps with the Smile product roadmap.
  • Lead customers through the buying journey by anticipating needs, pain points, and solution requirements.
  • Provide scoping support and sandbox environment support for existing and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to demonstrate ROI tied to technical capabilities and business goals.
  • Create high-level IT architecture specifications and design documents and resolve design-related issues.
  • Support data migration design and help customers adopt Smile’s Health Data Fabric platform.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demos, POCs, and strategic proposals.
  • Work closely with Sales, product, service engineering, and support teams as a customer technical liaison.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Smile products, FHIR, market trends, customer environments, and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, and/or customer consulting.
  • Experience contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience in healthcare, technology, or a similar industry preferred.
  • Professional software development experience highly preferred.
  • Significant hands-on experience in implementation and customer consulting.
  • Experience building complex technology systems delivered to customers at scale.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
  • Ability to present and influence stakeholders up to C-level/executive level.
  • Experience leading or contributing to strategic RFP responses.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices across the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with at least one major CSP and deployment patterns including CI/CD, containers, orchestration, IaaS scripting, and architecting.
  • Knowledge of modern programming tools and patterns such as microservices and scalable enterprise systems.
  • Experience with health technologies such as HL7 FHIR preferred but not required.
