Description

  • Provide advanced technical support for complex customer incidents, major incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Troubleshoot support tickets and develop bug fixes, enhancements, configuration changes, and implementation tools.
  • Design and deliver scalable, maintainable, high-performing, and interoperable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, QA, clients, and other stakeholders to develop, test, implement, and support changes.
  • Evaluate technologies and recommend improvements to tools, frameworks, coding standards, and development practices.
  • Mentor developers and Tier 1/Tier 2 support teams through code reviews, troubleshooting guidance, and technical coaching.
  • Break down technical work and act as the primary escalation point for complex project and production issues.
  • Maintain development frameworks, technical documentation, operational procedures, and implementation standards.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, quality, performance, and architectural requirements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours support for critical production incidents.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with Java.
  • Experience developing software applications and applying unit and functional testing practices.
  • Experience with end-to-end feature development and complex systems.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, Helm charts, Azure Pipelines, Java source code, and configuration files.
  • Experience with HL7, including V2 and FHIR, is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Hibernate, Spring, REST web services, and Git is an asset.
  • Experience in a software support or troubleshooting role is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
  • Preference for candidates based in Ontario.
