Description

  • Design data schemas and own data semantics.
  • Maintain, improve, and scale Java APIs and distributed services.
  • Investigate performance issues using server metrics, application data, and system behavior.
  • Improve backend system reliability, testability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams on technical design and implementation.
  • Define technical standards across engineering teams.
  • Lead large-scale releases and technical projects.
  • Use AI tools to draft development plans and investigate bugs, while evaluating outputs for accuracy, security, and suitability.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience designing, operating, and maintaining distributed systems.
  • Strong Java development skills.
  • Professional fluency in spoken and written French.
  • Experience with unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and Git-based version control.
  • Experience leading significant releases or technical projects.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach.
  • Commitment to building reliable, maintainable, and testable systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and improving JVM performance (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, distributed NoSQL or key-value databases, and Linux administration (preferred).
