Description

  • Own the Smeetz MCP server and AI chatbot, including tool surfaces, agent behavior, and operational guardrails.
  • Conduct customer discovery with venue operators, define priorities and specifications, ship solutions, and measure outcomes.
  • Monitor and improve reliability, latency, error rates, and production usage patterns.
  • Build an evaluation layer to measure prompt and model changes before release.
  • Write and maintain documentation so owned systems are understandable to other engineers.
  • Extend the shared Claude Code skill library and improve AI-native engineering practices across the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years shipping production code, including ownership of at least one end-to-end system with on-call responsibility.
  • 2+ years building production LLM features for real users, including tool calling, structured outputs, evaluations, cost control, latency optimization, and production failure handling.
  • Daily experience with Claude Code or an equivalent agentic development environment, including building skills, hooks, and automations.
  • Experience designing agent-facing APIs or tool surfaces with model-recoverable naming, granularity, and error messages.
  • Experience independently leading customer discovery, writing specifications, and defining measurable success metrics.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with Langfuse or another LLM observability platform such as LangSmith, Braintrust, or Phoenix preferred.
  • Knowledge of the MCP specification, Anthropic Claude API and tool use, retrieval and evaluations, or agent guardrails preferred.
  • French or German language skills preferred.
