Description

  • Provide technical leadership and delivery oversight for multiple project-based teams.
  • Plan and implement technical delivery, team efficiency, and project execution for assigned work.
  • Maintain the Product Requirements Document, backlog, and technical direction in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Co-lead project delivery with Project Managers to keep work on budget and on schedule.
  • Mentor developers, designers, and QA team members and serve as a technical expert on assigned projects.
  • Commit code, pair program, and lead the code review process.
  • Support pre-sales activities including technical discovery, solution architecture, scope refinement, and estimates.
  • Lead DevOps efforts including CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, environment configuration, and production operations.
  • Design, review, and support scalable cloud and server architectures, primarily on AWS and Azure.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, resourcing needs, and technical decisions to leadership and project teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with modern software development practices and technologies for custom software delivery.
  • 7+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails and Elixir/Phoenix.
  • 2+ years of experience with Flutter and/or React Native.
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, deployment, and tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, and cloud monitoring.
  • 3+ years of experience in a consultancy, not just product-based companies.
  • Experience participating in technical discovery, solution design, and estimation for client-facing sales opportunities.
  • Practical experience using AI tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, prototyping, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and manage expectations across teammates, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and architecture, especially AWS and Azure.
  • Preferred: experience contributing to or leading team processes in a project-based consultancy environment.
