Description

Build and scale machine-learning-driven features across multiple products.
Design reusable architecture that accelerates machine learning development across the company.
Set development and machine learning practice standards for SmarterDx.
Mentor other engineers and influence best practices across the organization.
Manage the full model production lifecycle, including deployment, release, and post-launch monitoring.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate machine learning into product features.
Work closely with data engineering and architecture stakeholders to support reliable ML systems.
Project manage a small team using a modern agile methodology.

Requirements

10+ years of development experience with a focus on machine learning and engineering roles.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Experience managing the full model production lifecycle, including deployment, release, and post-launch monitoring.
Experience working with diverse, cross-disciplinary teams to integrate machine learning into product features.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and their machine learning services.
Experience project managing a small team using a modern agile methodology.
Strong understanding of data engineering and architecture principles.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to have: experience in health tech, particularly hospital billing systems.
Nice to have: former startup founder or first engineering hire at a startup.
Nice to have: experience deploying LLM systems into production environments.
Nice to have: contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the machine learning community.

$230,000-$270,000 base salary.
