Description

  • Build and scale machine-learning-driven features across multiple products.
  • Design reusable architecture that accelerates machine learning development across the company.
  • Set development and machine learning practice standards for SmarterDx.
  • Mentor other engineers and influence best practices across the organization.
  • Manage the full model production lifecycle, including deployment, release, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate machine learning into product features.
  • Work closely with data engineering and architecture stakeholders to support reliable ML systems.
  • Project manage a small team using a modern agile methodology.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of development experience with a focus on machine learning and engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Experience managing the full model production lifecycle, including deployment, release, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Experience working with diverse, cross-disciplinary teams to integrate machine learning into product features.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and their machine learning services.
  • Experience project managing a small team using a modern agile methodology.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering and architecture principles.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Nice to have: experience in health tech, particularly hospital billing systems.
  • Nice to have: former startup founder or first engineering hire at a startup.
  • Nice to have: experience deploying LLM systems into production environments.
  • Nice to have: contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the machine learning community.

  • $230,000-$270,000 base salary.
