Description

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance real-time Android applications.
  • Build user interfaces and business logic integrated with REST APIs and backend systems.
  • Integrate Android applications with hardware using Bluetooth, NFC, or serial communication protocols.
  • Deliver secure, extensible, thoroughly tested code using JUnit and Espresso.
  • Define new features, communicate implementation plans, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Provide estimates, manage sprint delivery, and ensure work is completed on time.
  • Assess the impact of code changes, identify dependencies, and surface risks during planning.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Review peer code, improve team practices, and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and production-ready applications.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kotlin.
  • 4+ years of experience working with the Android SDK.
  • 3+ years of experience with JUnit or Espresso for testing.
  • 1–2 years of experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable Android applications.
  • Experience integrating Android applications with REST APIs.
  • Experience leading projects or major feature initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of clean architecture principles and maintainable code practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Nice to have: technical leadership experience.
  • Nice to have: experience integrating Android applications with hardware via Bluetooth or serial communication protocols.
  • Nice to have: experience with Dependency Injection frameworks.
  • Nice to have: experience working with XML for UI development.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines.
  • Nice to have: strong proficiency with Android Studio and Gradle.
  • Nice to have: experience contributing to architectural decisions.
  • Nice to have: experience working in high-performance or real-time systems.
  • Nice to have: background in aviation, operational systems, or enterprise mobility solutions.
