Description

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during enterprise B2B sales cycles.
  • Partner with enterprise sales, product, success management, and professional services teams on customer pursuits.
  • Lead discovery to identify quantifiable business problems and map them to Smarsh solutions.
  • Demonstrate, workshop, and position Smarsh products and platform capabilities for prospects and customers.
  • Provide technical expertise to influence requirements early in the sales process.
  • Conduct technical presentations and explain Smarsh products and third-party integrations.
  • Capture prospect technical requirements and own the architecture blueprint through validation.
  • Lead technical work for complex enterprise proofs of concept and ensure success criteria are met.
  • Own technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Prepare internal solution design proposals and support large implementation planning, including knowledge transfer, integration design, and product gap analysis.
  • Maintain presales notes and collateral in systems of record such as Salesforce and SharePoint.
  • Contribute best practices and collateral to the broader presales and sales teams.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and product-line developments.
  • Travel as needed for internal and external meetings, approximately 30% to 40%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in enterprise architecture, IT consulting, sales engineering, or software engineering in an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or Data Visualization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment with product management, engineering, and customer success teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to gather, document, and present solution value.
  • Ability to overcome prospect concerns and support mutually beneficial outcomes in complex technology integrations.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and planning skills to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Industry knowledge of Financial Services and other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with Solution Selling, Demo2Win, and MEDDIC/MEDDPICC.
  • Subject matter expertise in Surveillance/Supervision, eDiscovery, Archiving, or unstructured data platforms is a plus.
