Description

  • Own and grow a portfolio of Department of Defense accounts across the Western U.S.
  • Drive opportunity identification, qualification, and deal execution for enterprise programs.
  • Build relationships with senior defense stakeholders, program offices, and operational users.
  • Influence customer requirements and acquisition strategies through early engagement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver proposals, demonstrations, and customer briefings.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
  • Represent Slingshot at DoD customer meetings, industry events, and regional forums.
  • Share customer insights and competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed, comprising less than 10% of the role.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of enterprise B2G sales experience, or equivalent experience, with a focus on DoD customers.
  • Proven ability to close complex, multi-year government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and budgeting processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, or equivalent flexibility.
  • Experience selling into Western U.S. DoD installations or commands (preferred).
  • Familiarity with space, defense, or aerospace technology markets (preferred).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in technical sales environments (preferred).
  • Active or previously held U.S. security clearance (preferred).

Benefits

  • Remote work based in the Western U.S.
  • Commission plan with an OTE target of $300,000–$370,000.
  • Base salary range of $150,000–$185,000 plus commission.
