Description

  • Elicit business needs from product owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Translate business problems into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Map current-state processes and identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies.
  • Help shape the backlog and roadmap across multiple applications.
  • Ensure requirements align with business goals, regulatory standards, and enterprise architecture.
  • Plan and conduct user research activities such as interviews, contextual inquiry, journey mapping, usability testing, and surveys.
  • Recruit, schedule, and coordinate research sessions with a diverse user community of 500+ participants.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research data into actionable insights, personas, service blueprints, and experience maps.
  • Advocate for users and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project charters, business cases, communications, change management, training, and adoption efforts.
  • Track and report on KPIs, research outcomes, and system usage trends.
  • Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, UX/HCD Researcher, or similar role.
  • Experience working on multiple projects or systems at once.
  • Solid knowledge of requirements analysis, process modeling, and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience conducting HCD research and usability testing.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Comfort working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage work across a large user community and multiple priorities.
  • Preferred experience supporting enterprise-scale applications or systems with 500+ users.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility guidelines, service design, or UX/UI principles.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Mural/Miro, Figma, Qualtrics, or similar tools.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PSM/CSM, or UX/HCD credentials are preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
