Description

  • Partner with the engagement manager to organize deliverables, documentation, schedules, and action items.
  • Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog, including user stories, priorities, and release plans.
  • Lead the transition from Jira and Confluence to GitLab and Mattermost.
  • Facilitate planning sessions, stakeholder syncs, retrospectives, and other team ceremonies.
  • Translate user and government-partner needs into product objectives, success measures, and roadmap items.
  • Collaborate with government staff, contractors, researchers, designers, and engineers to support delivery.
  • Transfer digital product knowledge and skills to government teams throughout the engagement.
  • Help establish outcome-driven delivery practices, including automated testing and security integrated into the delivery pipeline.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of lean product principles, including applying minimum viable product approaches to mitigate risk and validate assumptions.
  • Ability to develop product strategy, outcome-focused roadmaps, and success criteria based on the problem being solved.
  • Experience breaking product scope into incremental value, maintaining prioritized backlogs, validating user stories, and facilitating iterative delivery.
  • Understanding of human-centered design and its use in informing product direction.
  • Experience collaborating across product, design, engineering, operations, and other disciplines.
  • Ability to manage clients and stakeholders to build trust, alignment, and healthy team environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean software development methodologies.
  • Strong organizational experience managing deliverables, documentation, and action items for agile software delivery teams.
  • U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain a Common Access Card and required contract access; successful background check; and ability to work within the U.S. excluding territories.
  • Project management, tool/workflow migration, legacy modernization, consulting, military/DoD, regulated-industry, government-delivery, or remote-team experience (preferred).

Benefits

  • Salary range of $90,000–$230,000, depending on product management level and seniority.
