Description

  • Provide academic guidance and support to prospective and current students.
  • Assist students with course selection, program information, and academic planning.
  • Monitor student progress and recommend ways to improve academic performance and engagement.
  • Respond to student inquiries about academic programs, schedules, enrolment, and policies.
  • Maintain accurate student records, advising notes, and academic documentation.
  • Support student onboarding, orientation, and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with instructors, admissions teams, and administrative staff to support student success.
  • Identify students who may need additional academic or personal support and escalate appropriately.
  • Conduct follow-ups with students regarding academic progress and participation.
  • Assist with organizing workshops, academic events, and student support sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in academic advising, student services, admissions, counseling, or education support roles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple student cases effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA or Canada.
  • Experience working within a college, academy, university, or online learning environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with student information systems, learning management systems, or CRM platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting online or remote learners preferred.
  • Background in student engagement, retention, or academic coaching is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $15–20 per hour.
