Description

  • Chair weekly Management Team meetings and drive operational cadence, follow-through, and prioritisation.
  • Translate leadership priorities into action and strengthen cross-functional accountability and organisational clarity.
  • Improve decision-making structures, delegated authority, financial approvals, ownership, and escalation pathways.
  • Identify and resolve operational friction points and efficiency opportunities across the organisation.
  • Establish lightweight operational systems and processes that improve clarity without adding bureaucracy.
  • Strengthen operational governance across compliance, legal operations, operational risk, and international scaling infrastructure.
  • Support legal processes, country registrations, and coordination of operational risk management activities.
  • Improve data protection operational coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and productivity gains through AI and operational workflow improvements.
  • Help teams embed practical AI-enabled ways of working into day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Significant operational leadership experience in scaling startups, nonprofits, technology companies, or tech-for-good organisations.
  • Experience serving as a COO, Chief of Staff, VP Operations, or in an equivalent senior operational leadership role.
  • Strong track record of driving cross-functional execution and organisational clarity.
  • Experience improving organisational systems, decision-making processes, and operational governance.
  • Comfort chairing executive meetings and holding senior leaders accountable.
  • Experience operationalising AI tools and workflows within organisations.
  • Experience within global health, international development, or nonprofit technology organisations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with international compliance, entity setup, and operational governance in LMIC contexts is preferred.
  • Availability for a fractional commitment of approximately 2–3 days per week.
  • Ability to work remotely within GMT +/- 3 hours time zone.
