Description

  • Design and develop the product’s business logic and backend systems.
  • Build and maintain clean, easy-to-use APIs for frontend integration.
  • Integrate the application with required systems, services, and data sources, including legacy systems.
  • Work closely with frontend developers to deliver functional and performant APIs.
  • Write unit, integration, and API tests to support code quality and reliability.
  • Develop automation tools to improve daily engineering tasks.
  • Produce high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code.
  • Evaluate technical ideas and challenge assumptions to avoid inefficient solutions.
  • Own backend functionality, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Experience as a backend engineer in common languages and frameworks such as Java, Node.js, ExpressJS, NestJS, or other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and engineering principles such as SOLID.
  • Significant experience building and using RESTful API services and tuning performance of large-scale applications.
  • Experience with database systems and knowledge of SQL and NoSQL stores such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to write effective unit, integration, and API tests.
  • Experience integrating with JavaScript frameworks such as React is a plus.
