Description

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
  • Build new features and products as part of an integrated engineering team.
  • Use accounting or finance domain knowledge to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
  • Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Provide support and consulting on software systems usage.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, coding standards, and industry requirements.
  • Design software applications and features in Golang.
  • Build reports and automations using Python and SQL.
  • Help build distributed architecture solutions that remain consistent and scalable.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to design products.
  • Develop and collect metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing products.
  • Deliver high-quality, testable features that meet reporting and compliance standards.
  • Mentor other engineers and help elevate their experience and knowledge.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience is referenced for the senior development compensation level.
  • At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Experience building and serving REST APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
  • BS in Accounting, Computer Science, or a similar degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance is preferred.
  • Experience in banking or financial institutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go is preferred.
  • Experience with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is preferred.
  • Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes is preferred.
  • Comfort using observability tools like Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog for production monitoring and alerting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerized microservice architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications is preferred.
