Description

  • Help own and build new features in a cross-platform TypeScript React Native app and Golang backend APIs.
  • Manage mobile releases using cohorting, feature flags, and app store infrastructure for safe rollouts to millions of active users.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with product, design, and business stakeholders to align on needs and execution.
  • Write clean, scalable, robust, and testable code with the team.
  • Develop deep working knowledge of the application, data domain, and key performance indicators.
  • Lead features end-to-end from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
  • Drive technical decisions and propose improvements that raise code quality across the team.
  • Perform high-quality code reviews focused on maintainability, clarity, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Collaborate with backend teams, QA, and other engineers to deliver mobile products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, including at least 2+ years with React Native or similar technology such as Flutter.
  • Experience working with native iOS code using Swift or Objective-C and native Android code using Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience developing and delivering mobile applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Deep understanding of React Native architecture, hooks, context, navigation patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Strong familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, and Appium.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead features end-to-end across requirements, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
  • Experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality code reviews with a focus on maintainability, clarity, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to improve productivity, research, and communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
  • Preferred: knowledge of automated testing in CI environments for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Preferred: ability to solve problems with backend-focused languages like Go, Python, or Java.
  • Preferred: familiarity with microservice architectures composed of HTTP APIs.
  • Preferred: experience working with native code on iOS and Android.
