Description

  • Review technical training scripts, lesson plans, and Sequence of Operations (SOOs) for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards.
  • Validate technical training assessments to ensure they measure competency and operational readiness at the appropriate role levels.
  • Ensure training content supports safety, compliance, risk management, and operational excellence expectations.
  • Standardize technical training across sites and operator role levels while accommodating site-specific requirements where needed.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Learning & Development teams to align training content with business objectives and the operational maturity model.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and outdated content, and drive updates to keep the training library current and effective.
  • Provide technical input into training tools, platforms, and delivery methods.
  • Review vendor technical bulletins, product updates, and announcements for their impact on operations and training.
  • Work with equipment vendors and internal engineering stakeholders to ensure vendor-specific content is accurate and relevant.
  • Ensure training materials reflect current technologies used across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a data center MEP technician role, ideally in a hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation environment.
  • Practical knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and related monitoring and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of system design and Sequence of Operations (SOO).
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices for data center operations, safety, security, availability, and reliability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Experience reviewing technical documents and/or technical training content is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality and governance mindset.
  • Moderate travel required, approximately 30-40%.
