Description

  • Develop data pipelines and use SQL- and Python-based ETL frameworks to acquire, process, and deliver data to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Platform Engineers, and Software Engineers to understand data use cases and product requirements.
  • Architect, build, and QA performant data models in the data warehouse.
  • Extract data from production databases and third-party sources.
  • Orchestrate jobs in Airflow to produce clean, well-documented, analysis-friendly datasets.
  • Own relationships with analysts and production engineers to uncover the value of the company’s data.
  • Assist with triaging and debugging on-call requests on a rotational schedule.
  • Design LLM-friendly warehouse schemas, create domain guides, and enforce canonical naming conventions for AI-assisted analysis.
  • Partner with Analytics leadership on BI tooling strategy to improve stakeholder access to usable data.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Analytics, Data, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience with dbt, Databricks, or a similar SQL transformation tool is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, psychology, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Expert-level SQL knowledge and proficiency in Python.
  • Experience developing new metrics and performing analysis with large datasets.
  • Experience cleaning datasets, developing new models, and interfacing with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex problems into clear frameworks and guides.
  • Experience with Airflow, Fivetran, Kafka, Redshift, mParticle, Eppo, Looker, Hex, Mixpanel, and GitLab is part of the team’s stack.
