Description

  • Build and maintain high-quality LookML models with accurate labels, descriptions, synonyms, and business logic for AI and analytics consumption.
  • Design and configure domain-focused Data Agents with structured instructions, Golden Queries, and scoped context governance.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate metadata governance, DDL synchronization, and semantic consistency checks.
  • Build reusable AI skills, tools, and workflows that enable natural language interaction with governed data.
  • Partner with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous business questions into well-defined data models and agent instructions.
  • Improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated insights by strengthening context structure, metadata coverage, and semantic layer precision.
  • Develop recommendations and drive improvements to data standards, processes, and definitions.
  • Contribute to cross-team guidelines and best practices for responsible AI usage with data.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or a closely related field.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Proficiency in Python, including writing and maintaining production-grade scripts and automation pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with a semantic layer or BI modeling tool such as LookML/Looker, dbt Semantic Layer, or an equivalent.
  • Practical understanding of how large language models consume structured context, including field-level metadata, descriptions, synonyms, and prompt design.
  • Experience designing context for AI agents, including system instructions, agent boundaries, or agent skill frameworks.
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data artifacts such as GitHub Actions or dbt CI.
  • Significant exposure to complex data pipelines, data modeling, and data architecture.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted development workflows, including AI coding tools, Golden Queries, and data agent skills.
  • Ability to thrive in unstructured, fast-moving, high-growth environments.
  • Strong execution and ownership with the ability to drive technical work end-to-end from ambiguous problems to reliable solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Python, SQL, and designing context for AI agents is mandatory for this role.
