Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain data models using dbt for data transformation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting and analysis needs into dbt models.
  • Maintain internal dbt conventions and best practices to keep the codebase clean and efficient.
  • Implement testing, validation, and cleaning processes to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Apply data monitoring solutions to ensure data flows and transformations perform accurately and optimally.
  • Create and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and process flows.
  • Partner with data engineers, product analysts, GTM data teams, and other stakeholders to align data insights with product improvements.
  • Communicate complex data patterns and conclusions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research new tools and technologies, including GenAI, for data engineering and analysis.
  • Develop and test prototypes that demonstrate the potential impact of GenAI and similar technologies on product usage datasets.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL, database knowledge, and understanding of Python.
  • Knowledge of dbt is a plus.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Ability to commit full-time for at least 6 months preferred.
  • Resourceful in execution and results-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Curious mindset with attention to detail.
  • Thoughtful team player with a quick learner and a "can do" attitude and growth mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex data models, insights, and issues to stakeholders.
