Description

  • Develop data pipelines and use SQL- and Python-based ETL frameworks to acquire, process, and deliver data to internal consumers.
  • Partner with analysts, data scientists, data platform engineers, and software engineers to understand data use cases and product requirements.
  • Architect, build, and thoroughly QA performant data models for analysis in a data warehouse environment.
  • Extract data from production databases and third-party sources, then model and store it for analysis-friendly use.
  • Orchestrate jobs in Airflow to produce clean, well-documented datasets.
  • Triages and debug on-call requests as part of a rotational on-call schedule.
  • Design LLM-friendly data warehouse schemas, create domain guides, and enforce canonical naming conventions to support AI-assisted data analysis.
  • Work with analytics leadership to shape BI tooling strategy and improve stakeholder access to usable data.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Analytics, Data, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience with DBT, Databricks, or a similar SQL transformation tool.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, psychology, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in Python.
  • Experience developing new metrics and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience cleaning datasets, developing new models, and working with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear frameworks and guides.
  • Experience with Airflow, Fivetran, Kafka, Redshift, mParticle, Looker, Hex, or Mixpanel is part of the stack and relevant to the role.
  • Experience with certifications, specific locations, or additional qualifications may affect compensation.
  • Preferred experience working in collaborative data environments and supporting BI tooling or experimentation workflows.
