Description

  • Integrate a modular simulation optimization framework with production AnyLogic models, databases, APIs, and plant-data environments.
  • Translate operational questions into simulation and optimization use cases.
  • Develop and maintain Java-based components for scenario execution, input handling, output parsing, and reliable optimization runs.
  • Define and validate simulation input/output data contracts and business KPIs.
  • Apply suitable optimization methods for real-valued, scheduling, selection, and multi-objective problems.
  • Design efficient experiments for long-running simulations.
  • Validate recommendations against live models and quantify operational benefits.
  • Support dashboards, recurring study scheduling, workflow integration, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and the wider delivery team to prioritize work, resolve issues, and maintain technical quality.

Requirements

  • Hands-on commercial experience with AnyLogic, including developing, adapting, integrating, and troubleshooting simulation models.
  • Strong Java development experience, including integration-oriented or production-quality software engineering.
  • Experience in discrete-event simulation; agent-based modeling exposure is highly valuable.
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, plant, logistics, supply-chain, or other operational simulation environments.
  • Practical understanding of optimization, operations research, simulation-based decision support, digital twins, or related analytical methods.
  • Experience integrating software with databases, APIs, structured data inputs/outputs, and production data environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical results in terms of operational decisions, constraints, and measurable outcomes.
