Description

Set the data science vision and strategic roadmap for healthcare use cases.
Lead independent and collaborative research to develop cutting-edge models.
Oversee high-quality science implementation and contribute to research publication.
Mentor junior and senior data scientists and foster continuous improvement.
Collaborate with software engineering, data engineering, design, and AI solution directors.
Apply advanced techniques in data science, MLOps, decision science, predictive modeling, and AI ethics.
Communicate technical concepts and impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Improve data quality and pipelines in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Provide data science leadership across Sand and help the team scale.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
Proven experience with independent research, model development, and putting ML models into production.
M.Sc. or equivalent advanced degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
Prior experience in the healthcare industry is mandatory.
Strong fluency in Python.
Experience with at least one cloud provider, preferably AWS.
Demonstrated experience mentoring colleagues and supporting professional growth.
Proven ability to build roadmaps and lead cross-functional teams at scale.
Strong MLOps background and understanding of software/data engineering and data science integration.
Strong background in statistics and machine learning algorithms; experience in causal data science is beneficial but not essential.
