Description

  • Set the data science vision and strategic roadmap for healthcare use cases.
  • Lead independent and collaborative research to develop cutting-edge models.
  • Oversee high-quality science implementation and contribute to research publication.
  • Mentor junior and senior data scientists and foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, data engineering, design, and AI solution directors.
  • Apply advanced techniques in data science, MLOps, decision science, predictive modeling, and AI ethics.
  • Communicate technical concepts and impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Improve data quality and pipelines in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide data science leadership across Sand and help the team scale.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
  • Proven experience with independent research, model development, and putting ML models into production.
  • M.Sc. or equivalent advanced degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is mandatory.
  • Strong fluency in Python.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider, preferably AWS.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring colleagues and supporting professional growth.
  • Proven ability to build roadmaps and lead cross-functional teams at scale.
  • Strong MLOps background and understanding of software/data engineering and data science integration.
  • Strong background in statistics and machine learning algorithms; experience in causal data science is beneficial but not essential.
