Description

  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices.
  • Become an expert on Samsara’s products, including IoT, AI, and computer vision solutions.
  • Articulate how customers in similar industries use Samsara to solve operational challenges.
  • Run discovery sessions, product demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations to support sales deals.
  • Guide installers through product installation scenarios and help build deployment plans.
  • Write and document scripts using Samsara’s open API to solve customer problems and support other sales engineers.
  • Act as a consultant to customers to expand account penetration through integration, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 2+ years of experience working with customers in pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with task automation scripting and transferring data between systems using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language (preferred).
  • Experience building solutions using open APIs (preferred).
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications (preferred).
  • Hobbyist interest in electronic systems such as car audio, classic car restoration, home automation, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino (preferred).
  • Consistent track record of selling complex technical solutions through strategic sales cycles (preferred).
