Description

  • Become an expert on Samsara’s IoT, AI, and computer vision products for physical operations.
  • Explain how customers use Samsara to solve industry-specific operational challenges.
  • Lead customer-facing sales engineering activities such as discovery sessions, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Advise installers on product installation best practices and help build deployment plans.
  • Write and document sample proof-of-concept scripts using Samsara’s open API.
  • Support customer integrations and help drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles while collaborating across teams and global offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering-related field from a 4-year accredited university.
  • 5 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Remote candidates must reside in the US within the TOLA region (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas).
  • Travel up to 50% of the time is required, and proximity to an international airport is required.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of enterprise pre-sales experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications.
  • Preferred: Experience with task automation scripting and data transfer using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent languages.
  • Preferred: Experience building solutions leveraging open APIs.
  • Preferred: Physical location in Denver, San Francisco, Phoenix, or Seattle.
