Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, design sessions, and proof-of-value engagements across the company’s products and configurations.
  • Translate customer needs into value-based solution narratives tied to accessibility, open-meeting requirements, and related public-sector priorities.
  • Own technical sales artifacts including solution designs, integration diagrams, security questionnaire responses, RFP technical responses, and customer documentation.
  • Partner with Account Executives to engage both technical and economic buyers throughout the sales process.
  • Serve as the technical bridge from sales to delivery by supporting complex go-lives, technical health checks, QBR preparation, and escalations.
  • Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools to explore the product, prototype integrations, and produce specs and tickets.
  • Investigate customer systems and workflows such as agenda management, AV/streaming, CRM, SSO, ERP, and data warehouses to inform integrations.
  • Work with Engineering and Product to scope solutions and share structured field feedback that informs the roadmap.
  • Develop reusable demo flows, configuration playbooks, technical battlecards, and integration patterns.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience leading discovery, demos, and technical close motions.
  • Proven success supporting net-new and expansion SaaS sales, ideally into state, local, federal, transit, or other public-sector buyers.
  • Strong technical fundamentals with comfort working in production code and modern web architectures.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, MSSQL, React/JS, and Azure is a plus; language-agnostic candidates are welcome.
  • Experience with real-time product domains such as meeting/conferencing software, AV systems, live streaming, telephony/SIP, WebRTC, SignalR, or similar event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI coding assistants and agentic tooling for codebase exploration, integration prototyping, and synthesis.
  • Comfort representing engineering in customer-facing settings including demos, technical deep-dives, RFPs, security reviews, and escalations.
  • GovTech experience in state, local, federal, or transit markets, or selling to clerks, communications/PIO, planning, or transportation, is a bonus.
  • Experience with government meeting products such as legislative or agenda management, public meeting software, or council/board streaming is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 is a bonus.
  • Experience with GIS, data analytics, or public-sector procurement vehicles such as Carahsoft, DIR, Sourcewell, or GSA is a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with city managers, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with a customer-first, consultative mindset.
  • Curiosity and comfort using AI-native tools to work faster and improve output.
