Description

  • Act as the primary technical authority for new products entering the mid-market segment.
  • Partner with Product Management and the Sales Engineering organization to surface technical edge cases, product requirements, and beta opportunities.
  • Enable Account Executives and Sales Engineers to lead value-based discovery and position strategic outcomes over features.
  • Create and deliver technical enablement materials, including golden demo environments, technical whitepapers, and competitive battlecards.
  • Track proof-of-concept success rates and identify friction points in the deployment process for new product launches.
  • Support customer engagements across logistics, fleet maintenance, asset management, system integration, and regulatory compliance topics.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven narratives for customer stakeholders.
  • Help move products from Early Access to General Availability through cross-functional project leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent practical experience in industrial IoT or SaaS.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, customer support, or product support.
  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as Command of the Message or MEDDPICC.
  • Ability to quickly learn physical technologies, including vehicle diagnostics (OBD-II/J1939), industrial sensors, and API workflows.
  • Comfort working across hardware systems and cloud software in both physical and digital environments.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives without direct authority, including product moves from Early Access to General Availability.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technologies for C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for customer visits, product testing, and internal sprints.
  • Demonstrated success in a remote-first environment while collaborating with global teams.
  • Preferred: Experience with APIs and/or scripting languages like Python.
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
  • Preferred: Strong experience with operational IoT concepts such as fleet routing, commercial navigation, commercial trucking fleets, logistics, and workforce management.
