Description

  • Become an expert on Samsara products and explain how they support digital transformation for physical operations.
  • Articulate to prospects how similar businesses use Samsara to solve industry-specific challenges.
  • Deliver discovery sessions, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations to support deals.
  • Guide installers through product installation scenarios and help build deployment plans.
  • Write and document proof-of-concept scripts using Samsara’s open API.
  • Advise customers on integration, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities to deepen account engagement.
  • Act as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and supporting beta program enrollment.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles while collaborating across teams and offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a 4-year accredited university program, preferably a Bachelor of Science.
  • 5 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through technical sales acumen, business process understanding, and change management knowledge.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 8+ years of enterprise customer experience in a pre-sales environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and Power Take Off (PTO), is preferred.
  • Experience with task automation scripting and data transfer using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages is preferred.
  • Experience building solutions using open APIs is preferred.
  • Remote role open to candidates in the greater Toronto area.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time is required.
  • Proximity to a major airport is preferred.
