Description

  • Own and evolve the SEO and content marketing playbook for the home services vertical.
  • Define SEO strategy for an AI-driven search landscape, including zero-click search and evolving SERPs.
  • Tie SEO and content initiatives to measurable business outcomes such as revenue growth, lead generation, and client ROI.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of managers and individual contributors while building a high-performing culture.
  • Set performance expectations, KPIs, and career development pathways for the department.
  • Oversee forecasting, resourcing, utilization, margin performance, capacity planning, and client account assignments.
  • Procure and implement SEO tools and technology, including opportunities for AI, automation, workflow improvements, and performance tracking.
  • Build scalable systems and workflows to support consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Solutions, Paid Media, Web, Client Success, and Sales to align strategy, reporting, and execution.
  • Lead client conversations, serve as an escalation point for enterprise accounts, and support SEO opportunity scoping for Sales.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of SEO experience in a marketing agency setting.
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading, mentoring, and developing SEO or digital marketing teams.
  • Expert knowledge of technical SEO, on-page optimization, local SEO, and off-page/link-building strategies.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute SEO strategies that drive traffic, rankings, and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in SEO with the ability to educate clients and represent agency expertise.
  • Track record of leading experimentation and performance testing across SEO, content, email, and social marketing.
  • Experience leveraging AI to improve efficiency, scale delivery, or enhance margins.
  • Strong perspective on AI’s impact on search, including SERP features, generative AI, and content strategy implications.
  • Experience building scalable systems and processes from the ground up.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to make thoughtful decisions in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Experience with call-driven service industries is preferred.
  • Experience marketing for home service companies such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar verticals is strongly preferred.
