Description

  • Design, build, and operate the core AWS cloud infrastructure supporting engineering workloads.
  • Own the CI/CD platform, including build pipelines, artifact management, environment promotion, progressive rollout, and rollback.
  • Build and maintain organization-wide observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, SLIs, and SLOs.
  • Drive infrastructure as code practices and manage Kubernetes clusters, custom controllers, and operators for production workloads.
  • Partner with security and compliance on secrets management, network policy, and access controls in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Design self-service developer tooling and platform APIs that let product and AI teams provision, deploy, and operate services independently.
  • Own incident response tooling, on-call practices, and reliability engineering standards, and support major incidents as needed.
  • Partner with engineering leadership and finance on infrastructure cost visibility, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
  • Write documentation, runbooks, and clear platform interfaces to improve adoption across engineering teams.
  • Participate in code review and promote engineering best practices such as simplicity, automation, sound design patterns, test coverage, and reusability.

Requirements

  • BS or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 8+ years of platform, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering experience with Staff, Principal, or Architect-level scope.
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for high-velocity engineering organizations.
  • Strong AWS experience, including IAM, networking, container orchestration, and production Kubernetes.
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Proven experience building internal developer platforms or tools adopted by other engineering teams.
  • Hands-on coding fluency in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Comfort operating in a polyglot environment across Python, .NET, and TypeScript services.
  • Practical experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, New Relic, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Comfort owning cost and reliability discussions with engineering leadership and finance partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a bias toward documentation and clear interfaces.
  • Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work normal business hours in the Eastern US time zone.
  • Bonus: Experience supporting AI or LLM workloads, including GPU provisioning, model serving, or agent runtime infrastructure.
  • Bonus: Background in healthcare, PBM, pharmacy, or another regulated data environment.
  • Bonus: Kubernetes operator experience or comfort building custom controllers.
  • Bonus: FinOps experience, especially attributing infrastructure spend to features, teams, or business units.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with distributed systems tooling such as Kafka, gRPC, Dragonfly, or Redis.
  • Bonus: Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum and Kanban.
  • Bonus: Experience with code scanning, security, and quality checks in CI/CD.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $190,000 to $225,000.
