Description

  • Serve as the strategic HR partner to a Regional General Manager on people-related matters and growth objectives.
  • Meet regularly with field management to identify regional business needs, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with field leadership through regular touchpoints to understand team dynamics and challenges.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve HR and operational compliance.
  • Provide employee relations support, including disciplinary actions, performance management guidance, and policy enforcement.
  • Conduct investigations into employee concerns or policy violations and recommend appropriate outcomes.
  • Act as the regional compliance expert by applying knowledge of state and local workplace laws and escalating issues when needed.
  • Support recruiting, including first-round interviews and interview panels for field management roles.
  • Partner on onboarding, training, workforce planning, succession planning, and career development programs.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, promotions, relocations, leaves, and exits.
  • Analyze HR metrics, exit interview trends, and engagement insights to inform retention strategies and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and records in HRIS systems and ensure timely completion of employment transactions.
  • Deliver HR training and communications to field leadership on policies, procedures, benefits, and employment laws.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations and support recurring HR cycles and programs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of human resources or equivalent experience, preferably within a multi-state organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience in retail or service-based environments preferred.
  • Strong experience with employee relations and handling difficult employment matters.
  • Excellent judgment, executive presence, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
