Description

Serve as the strategic HR partner to a Regional General Manager on people-related matters and growth objectives.
Meet regularly with field management to identify regional business needs, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Build strong relationships with field leadership through regular touchpoints to understand team dynamics and challenges.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve HR and operational compliance.
Provide employee relations support, including disciplinary actions, performance management guidance, and policy enforcement.
Conduct investigations into employee concerns or policy violations and recommend appropriate outcomes.
Act as the regional compliance expert by applying knowledge of state and local workplace laws and escalating issues when needed.
Support recruiting, including first-round interviews and interview panels for field management roles.
Partner on onboarding, training, workforce planning, succession planning, and career development programs.
Oversee day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, promotions, relocations, leaves, and exits.
Analyze HR metrics, exit interview trends, and engagement insights to inform retention strategies and reporting.
Maintain accurate employee data and records in HRIS systems and ensure timely completion of employment transactions.
Deliver HR training and communications to field leadership on policies, procedures, benefits, and employment laws.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations and support recurring HR cycles and programs.

Requirements

3+ years of human resources or equivalent experience, preferably within a multi-state organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Experience in retail or service-based environments preferred.
Strong experience with employee relations and handling difficult employment matters.
Excellent judgment, executive presence, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and strong attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
