Description

  • Design a continuous performance management system built on the current ABC framework.
  • Define the three evaluation axes, their weights, scales, and thresholds for A, B, and C performance bands.
  • Map the data sources for each axis, including automated inputs, manager input, and peer reviews.
  • Design the monthly performance cycle, including what is automated, what requires manager confirmation, and how results are surfaced to employees.
  • Create dashboards for individual employees, managers, and C-level stakeholders.
  • Develop B-to-A and C-to-A improvement tracks with measurable criteria, ETAs, and clear boundaries.
  • Pilot the system on two competencies, gather feedback, refine it, and roll it out across the full team.
  • Own the outcome of the system design and launch, working with engineering and AI support to handle automation.
  • Align the system with a tiny-team operating model that minimizes rituals and manual work.

Requirements

  • Experience building performance systems for teams of 30 to 150 people, ideally in late Seed or Series A product startups.
  • Understanding of how performance management differs in traditional companies versus small, fast-moving teams.
  • Strong comfort working with data, including Excel, SQL, and the Notion API.
  • Ability to build prototypes independently rather than relying on an analyst.
  • Experience with grading systems, talent reviews, 9-box models, or similar frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience converting a manual Excel-based process into an automated system is a big plus.
  • Working English is required.
  • Russian is nice to have but not required.
  • A short note with 1–2 relevant case studies is part of the application process.
  • Completion of a 60-minute HRD call, an unpaid test task, and a final CEO+HRD call is required.
