Description

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for a multi-state workforce.
  • Audit payroll inputs and outputs, including timecards, deductions, bonuses, PTO, leave balances, and employee status changes.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and support year-end W-2 activities.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll reporting, reconciliations, adjustments, garnishments, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, 401(k), life insurance, and voluntary benefits.
  • Support open enrollment, new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee benefit inquiries.
  • Coordinate with vendors and carriers to resolve benefits and claims issues and oversee vendor relationships supporting payroll and benefits operations.
  • Generate and analyze HR, payroll, benefits, and workforce reports for leadership and operational teams.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports related to turnover, headcount, hiring, compensation, PTO usage, productivity, audits, and workforce trends.
  • Support HR operational initiatives, system integrations, process improvements, and organizational growth activities, including merger/acquisition-related transitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, HR reporting, HR operations, or related experience.
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret workforce and payroll data.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and reporting systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets preferred.
  • Experience with Paylocity or a similar HRIS/payroll system.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reporting, and workforce analytics.
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with productivity reporting platforms such as ActivTrak is preferred.
  • Experience working in a remote or multi-state workforce environment.
  • Exposure to HR integrations, organizational growth initiatives, or merger and acquisition activities is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain an uninterrupted internet connection and supply home internet service for remote work.
