Description

  • Evaluate Rover’s use of Zendesk and adjacent applications and champion efficiency improvements.
  • Lead or support projects for supported applications, including planning, solution design, configuration, and implementation.
  • Resolve escalated internal issues and requests in a timely manner based on business priority.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of supported applications and identify features that can improve processes and outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Contribute domain expertise to operations planning, internal product roadmaps, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to clarify platform capabilities and recommended solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of direct experience administering and optimizing Zendesk implementations for established businesses, ideally with international footprints.
  • Deep understanding of Zendesk configuration components, including triggers, macros, tags, skills, omnichannel routing, and custom queues.
  • Strong familiarity with Zendesk APIs and their use for data extraction and platform actions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into application functionality and ask clarifying questions of non-technical collaborators.
  • Ability to work independently without direct oversight while prioritizing work in response to changing business needs.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with fast-paced execution.
  • Zendesk Certified Administrator or Expert certification preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript, or software development experience preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Rovo to accelerate analysis and solution development preferred.
  • Experience with M&A-driven Zendesk migrations/integrations preferred.
  • Experience with Zendesk AI, general IT administration/support, Google Workspace, Agile methods, Jira/Confluence, or compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, and PCI preferred.
