Description

  • Set the strategic direction for the brand team by translating business and marketing priorities into brand strategies, campaigns, and creative direction.
  • Lead integrated campaigns from audience insight and messaging through planning, execution, measurement, and iteration.
  • Improve the quality, clarity, creativity, and visual consistency of brand work across major campaigns and everyday touchpoints.
  • Use performance data, audience insights, and campaign learnings to strengthen planning, prioritization, and measurement.
  • Grow Roo’s reach across social, community, events, content, and emerging channels.
  • Develop brand-led programs and moments that deepen connection with veterinarians, technicians, hospitals, and the broader veterinary community.
  • Shape Roo’s brand narrative and oversee thought leadership programs including reports, customer stories, executive visibility, authored content, and speaking opportunities.
  • Partner with PR to support earned media, industry moments, press angles, and proof points that strengthen credibility.
  • Lead and develop the brand marketing team across brand/content, social/community, and events.
  • Guide external partners across PR, design, web, ads, and other creative needs while creating scalable systems, templates, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Experience in brand marketing, integrated marketing, campaign marketing, or a related role leading multi-channel work from strategy through execution.
  • Experience managing and developing teams, including direct reports and external partners or agencies.
  • Understanding of how brand shows up across the full customer journey, from major campaigns to everyday channel execution.
  • Strong storytelling ability with creative judgment, a clear point of view, and an eye for visual consistency and brand cohesion.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, build trust, and communicate effectively.
  • Experience using data, research, and performance learnings to guide decisions and measure impact.
  • Curiosity and creative energy to test new ideas, formats, channels, and audience approaches.
  • Thoughtful use of AI and emerging tools to improve marketing workflows while preserving human judgment and creativity.
  • Experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, tech, marketplaces, labor platforms, or mission-driven companies is a plus.
  • Based in San Francisco, the role is hybrid; otherwise the company is remote-first.
