Description

  • Work with clients and their developers to introduce and adapt agile practices such as design thinking, TDD, paired programming, backlog management, and continuous delivery.
  • Teach customers the rationale behind engineering practices and help them understand the value of agile software development.
  • Learn how clients prefer to learn, receive feedback, and use language so collaboration is effective and client-centered.
  • Pair with customer engineers and military service members to develop and deliver user stories that balance business value, technical feasibility, and user needs.
  • Build, test, and deliver working software solutions that are reliable and fit for mission use.
  • Ensure development progresses week over week and incorporate real-time feedback from users.
  • Collaborate with a balanced team to make informed engineering decisions based on validated assumptions.
  • Support project success and client satisfaction through daily decision making and hands-on product delivery.
  • Continuously learn, teach, and adjust your approach to improve collaboration and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of software development experience across a variety of programming languages.
  • Strong communication skills and interest in a pair-programming environment.
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with PHP, Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, React.js, Vue, or Redux.
  • Experience across both frontend and backend development.
  • Experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes such as Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
  • Demonstrated experience with API development.
  • Comfort running software in Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, databases, and design patterns.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance for U.S. Government work.
  • Preferred: experience developing cloud-native applications.
  • Preferred: experience leading a product or development team.
  • Preferred: experience building and deploying in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Preferred: experience working directly with clients.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to undergo a background investigation.

  • Annual salary range of $119,853 to $149,817, based on experience and qualifications.
