Description

  • Conduct comprehensive research on communication messaging and strategies to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance on research design, analytical techniques, and sampling methods.
  • Coordinate internal resources, external consultants, and vendors to execute evaluation and research studies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and with technical accuracy.
  • Manage and mentor a small research team, including performance oversight.
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress, scope changes, schedules, and costs.
  • Support data collection, instrument design, report development, analysis, and synthesis of findings.
  • Synthesize findings from multiple data sources and translate complex results into clear insights.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and technical solutioning for communications research and evaluation projects.
  • Develop and implement processes and quality assurance procedures to improve efficiency and technical integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, health, science, or another relevant field.
  • 10 years of total experience.
  • 2 years of project management experience.
  • 6 years of experience with evaluation methods, including qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods.
  • 2 years of experience focused on communications research.
  • Technical experience with qualitative and quantitative evaluations.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office collaboration tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to execute instructions.
  • Project and people management skills in budgeting, resourcing, planning, tasking, and risk management.
  • Ability to communicate results simply and effectively.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Master's or doctoral degree may substitute for years of experience.
  • Experience preparing OMB and IRB clearance packages is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of communications theories is preferred.
  • PMP or other project management certification is preferred.
  • Ability to keep up with industry trends in communications research and evaluation is preferred.
