Description

  • Identify potential SLED customers and build a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Engage with resellers and partners in the SLED vertical market.
  • Research government and education trends and initiatives to inform outreach and positioning.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges and objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and how they address customer needs.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Customize proposals to meet the unique requirements and budgets of government and educational institutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in Salesforce.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities while balancing urgency with customer trust.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of experience working in the public sector, specifically delivering value propositions to SLED customers.
  • Extensive consultative sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Cybersecurity domain expertise.
  • Strong relationships with resellers and partners in the SLED vertical.
  • Knowledge of state contracts and procurement vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships, including C-level contacts, as a trusted advisor.
  • Experience growing accounts through large and complex pursuits ($M+).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
